With these circumstances, implants may reduce the percentage of cattle grading at least USDA Choice by 2 percent to 24 percent. Implants may also slightly increase skeletal maturity, which also impacts USDA Quality Grade. Type of implant, gender and genotype of the animal all influence these responses.
